Hi All!
So Friday night, amidst a hell of essays and assignments, Edd and I went to our favorite place to eat in Auckland, a Japanese Yakitori Bar called Ken Yakitori. This was kind of a belated dinner to celebrate Edd’s graduation on Tuesday due to me being a terrible girlfriend and being so stressed out by Uni work that a night off after a day missing lectures for the graduation was a no-go.

Mine was up and down with a couple of tough assignments and more to come this week but I also found out that I did quite well on an assignment I thought I might fail and that I got top marks in one of my art history courses last semester yay! Dear Test: thankyou for not being as brutal as I expected you might be, although I will reserve full thanks until I get the results back! Dear Dad: Please drive more carefully, I need you around for a lot longer! Dear Callie: thank you for the cuddles and giggles you have given me this week when I needed them most. Dear Auckland Bus Services: Kindly get your crap together and stop abandoning me! I can’t handle the stress of trying to find alternative ways into Uni on days when I have things due so stop striking or whatever it is you choose to do over driving me around town. Dear Time Management Skills: I was hoping that by my last semester I would have you under control but I guess you and me were not meant to be. Dear Wedding Date: Please stop approaching me at light speed, I seriously have so much to do before Feb 17th it’s freaking me out! Dear Psych Lecturer: Thank you, thank you, thankyou for extending the due date of my assignment from Monday to Wednesday! Haven’t yet started so need all the time I can get. Dear Mum: I love having tea with you at Uni and keeping up to date, don’t worry about me going to France, no distance could stop us being the best of friends! Dear Edd: Thanks for letting me indulge in some shopping therapy during this stressful week and for being the man of my dreams

Hi All!
Happy Monday and a start to the new week. This means it is back to Uni for me after a brief but much needed two week study holiday in which I did zero study (why change the habit of a lifetime) and plenty of nothing. As usual today’s post is on what made me smile last week and was rather useful as I got to Saturday and couldn’t really think about anything positive this week. After doing the post it made me remember the really positive times that were so overshadowed by the negative ones in my mind.
A Tuesday Trip

So today I took my self on a wee roadtrip (does a 1 hour drive count as a roadtrip? I say yes…) out of Auckland and down to the wee town of Waiuku, south of Auckland on the West Coast kinda. This is where 1 half of my rather extensive family lives (mum, nana, Mr 19, Miss 17 and Mr 15) along with their very large menagerie of animals. This is all in one rather moderate house by the way. It is always chaos but a chaos that I love and miss like crazy!

So this week I have been at home on study break having a pretty relaxing time. Haven’t been up to a whole lot other than sleeping, babysitting what seems like everynight and trying to get on top of my mega to do list. So here are a few things that have made me smile this week 😀
This is my first ever experience of a fishtail plait kindly provided by my amazing fiancee Edd! After failing for most of the day to make one myself and telling Edd about it in the car he promptly gave it a go when we got home and whilst this may not be perfect I couldn’t stop smiling! This reminded why I love Edd so much (not that I need much reminding)
